Warning to Pregnant Women

It's common knowledge that consuming large amounts of drugs and alcohol is harmful to a developing fetus. New medical studies released from Washington University Medical School show that any exposure at all to alcohol or anesthetic drugs can cause “brain cell suicide” in fetuses. Alcohol, in any amount, blocks the formation of connections between cells in the brain. The result is that the cells then die before they are even fully developed, with no new ones taking their place. This causes learning disorders, poor motor skills, and other afflictions such as schizophrenia.
